A vacancy has arisen for a Finance Manager - Key Responsibilities

• Providing the General Manager with information relating to the financial performance of the business, products and customers
• Provide financial support and information to the management team
• Managing transactional processes and overseeing/reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash posting and all general ledger entries
• Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively
• Ensuring the business has effective stock controls and accurate stock valuations
• Cash management including credit control
• Liaising with the Group Financial Director
• Overseeing preparation of the management accounts pack, inclusive of the monthly P&L and balance sheet
• Updating annual forecasts
• Preparing the annual budget
• Preparation of information required for the statutory accounts
• Liaising with auditors
• Preparing and submitting VAT and Intrastat returns
• Improving controls and procedures
• Full month end procedures

Finance Manager Skills & Requirements

• CIMA Qualified
• Good understanding of month end procedures
• Experience of product costing
• Staff management background
• Ability to work as part of a small management team
• Excellent communicator
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
• Strong IT skills

Experience working in manufacturing would be highly beneficial; experience of Sage desirable.

The salary being offered is circa £35-45k depending on experience.
