Job Vacancy - Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship

The Laboratory Technician will be based in our Quality Control Laboratories and will perform a wide range of chemical analysis on our products and raw materials. The analytical methods used vary from titrations to High Performance Liquid Chromatography. The role will work across all the analytical sections of the department.

On a day to day basis the Laboratory Technician will be performing analytical chemistry on a wide range of substances.

• The testing will involve looking at purity/impurity levels
• Water and solvent content
• Identification and metal contents
• Each test is recorded in a laboratory notebook and entered onto a computer system
• Equipment calibration is an important routine function of the role.

You will need to wear a laboratory coat, safety shoes and eye protection (all provided by the company). A casual dress code is followed beyond this.

There will be opportunities to go on to the manufacturing plants and interact with Research and Development.
